It's hard to imagine the responsibility of delivering 144,000 Pounds of rescued food every single day. But that's just how Forgotten Harvest serves the communities of Southeast Michigan. If they work so hard to support us, how can we make it easier to support them?

Communities speak through their art. And if there's one thing that Southeast Michigan has no shortage of, it's a remarkable stable of artistic talent working tirelessly to share their voice.

But how to transform that voice into dialogue? Simple. We create an easier and more modern path for donations through one of the most ubiquitous payment methods of the modern age: a Venmo QR code. By having artists blend it naturally into their designs, we give the community a unique way to participate. One that's easier, quicker and has the lasting utility.

Partnership Planted Success.

Prominent local artists and businesses came together to support the cause. The program launched with two unique pieces, featuring legendary Detroit artists and venues.

#1 Hunger Can't Be Silenced by muralist Marlo Broughton made its debut as a vintage Carhartt sweatshirt and limited run of SMPLFD shirts in front of thousands on the Carhartt Stage at the Detroit Jazz Festival.

#2 Pollinator by famed tattoo artist Bob Tyrrell shows how we depend on each other for a healthy community. The design lives as a temporary tattoo, and was unveiled at Vault of Midnight & Third Man Records in Detroit.
